The AS-T (Associates of Science) Transfer Degree in Early Childhood Education

This degree is intended for students who plan to transfer and complete a bachelor’s degree in a similar major at a CSU or articulated private college or university program.

When an "AA" or "AS" Degree has a T after it, it's considered "A Degree with a Guarantee." Students completing the degree are guaranteed admission to the CSU system, but not to a particular campus or major; they may also be guaranteed admission to participating private institutions. A student graduating with an Associate in Science in Early Childhood Education for Transfer (Early Childhood Education AS-T) may transfer to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child and Adolescent Development, Family and Consumer Sciences, Human Communication, Human Services, Liberal Studies or related field.

Another option for those interested in earning a teaching credential are ITEP (Integrated Teacher Education Program) Degrees which offer a 60 unit program to complete the Bachelor's and Credential. We partner closely with San Francisco State University's ITEP Programs and Graduate College of Education.
